Bethany had a day off from school one beautiful fall Friday early this month, so I decided to take the girls to a local pumpkin farm.  The rest of Collin County had the same idea...but we had fun anyway - feeding animals, playing in hay, going on a hayride, selecting pumpkins, and of course, lots of photo ops!  I love Bethany's expression when Caroline actually fed the big bull.  Bethany wanted nothing to do with feeding the animals, yet was happy to watch her sister be brave.

We signed Bethany up to play soccer this fall in an Upwards league at CCBC.  Her division is co-ed, 1st and 2nd graders, and non-competitive.  She's had fun getting out there on the field every week even if she isn't always focused on the ball. :)  The best part of the game is the player introductions as they run out from under the big soccer ball.  We've had lots of visitors join us on Saturday mornings.  Uncle Clay is her biggest fan - maybe he's a little reminiscent of his soccer days!

Schuyler and I were on our Hawaii trip when Caroline's school had its annual costume parade.  Fortunately, Grammy snagged pictures for us of the pretty Ariel princess.  We were home in time for Halloween.  The Princess and the Penguin were joined by their neighborhood friend, Jake the Ninja for trick-or-treating.  It was perfect chilly, yet comfortable weather for being out in the neighborhood.  The kids lasted a good hour and a half, taking a few breaks here and there.  And they all brought in loads of candy!
