Kerry and Kenton's Wedding
25 June 2005, Harriman, TN
We arrived in Harriman the day before the wedding and quickly met up with Schuyler's parents for lunch at Cracker Barrel. That evening was the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner, which was at a local park. It was a great time to see family and friends from all around the country (If I recall, there were guests from 10 states to support Kenton). The night before the wedding, Bethany and Caroline stayed with Grammy and Poppop in Harriman so they could get to bed a little earlier since our hotel was 30 miles away. Bethany and Caroline were flower girls, which made for a long day for Lindsey. The girls were precious in their dresses made by Grammy, but once they were on we didn't want to take them off and had to be very careful with them. However, the loved getting to see and "play" with all the family that was also there early.
The wedding was (as Caroline would say) "beau-tee-ful" . The girls kept the ceremony interesting. "Mother" Bethany likes to tell Caroline what to do, which annoys Caroline to no end. So when Bethany was telling Caroline what to do on stage, a fight nearly broke out. Cooler heads prevailed (i.e. - Mommy's) and peace was restored. The reception was a fun time to eat and visit with old friends and family, and the girls made some new friends (which of course were children of Daddy's old friends).
The day concluded back at the hotel playing in the pool (the girls earned it, and it was quite warm anyway...). We were so glad to be present and a part of Kenton and Kerry's special day!
