Another busy, fun-filled month! (That's why I'm just now getting the webpage updated... a week into Nov!) The first picture is a typical breakfast at our house..."Dolpin" and "Shamu" are usually included. The kids had a week off from school, so we headed to Austin to spend a few days with Ninny. The girls enjoyed a new playground to climb all over, and of course, the golf course! They watched Ninny play one hole one evening...right down the street from her house. Another generation receives a golf lesson from the golfing Granny! The golf cart was a huge hit! I don't know how many times we drove around the block and through the neighborhood. They loved playing with all of Ninny's hats and visors. Bethany decided on the "rally visor" look all on her own. Go figure... The girls spent the rest of the week with Papaw (Bethany) and Oma (Caroline) and I went back to McKinney with no kids! Don't worry...I had to get them back again on Thursday.
Schuyler presented his final Master's report on the 16th. While he spent the day sequestered in a classroom trying to stay focused and awake through all of the presentation, the girls and I were busy decorating and creating a party atmosphere. We celebrated as a family that evening....Yea! Daddy's finished with school!
Our Sunday School class at church gathered on the 17th for a picnic...there were a few games for the kids. Those girls look pretty serious about the pumpkin run. Of course, they were competing for stuffed animals! The girls wore Kenton ragged on his quick weekend trip up here. All three of them seemed to have a great time...and Mommy and Daddy enjoyed the visit, too.
The girls dressed up as Miss Pattycake this year. She's more of Caroline's style these days, but Bethany wanted to be in on the action of looking cute! Schuyler's mom made the dresses and added the gloves; I put the rest together. Bethany's tights are not "authentic" Pattycake, but they were too cute to pass up! They dressed up for parties at school and the annual costume free-for-all in the gym. I included pictures of them with their classes. We went trick-or-treating Halloween night...Bethany decided it was time to go home when her candy bucket got too heavy!
