Thanks to American Airlines and their "NetSAAver" fares, we were able to take a quick weekend trip to Pittsburgh this summer. We were glad to get to see Schuyler's extended family, as has become an annual tradition. This year, however, we didn't meet Schuyler's parents for the visit.

Even though the visit was a short one (arrived Saturday and departed Tuesday), we were able to do a lot of things and spend a lot of time with family. Among the things that we did were the following:

bullet

Took Daily Trips to the Oakmont Bakery

bullet

Took Trip downtown to the Pittsburgh Children's Museum

bullet

Bethany spent the night with Alyssa

bullet

Got "famingoed" by Alyssa

The trip went quite well... The girls were excellent with all the traveling and behaved as well as could be expected at their great-grandparents' home. Schuyler's two Aunts were gracious to help us get around town and bring in meals to avoid having to take the two "monsters" out to eat. The only hitch was that our return flight was delayed leaving Pittsburgh for a few hours, but this just meant we became intimately familiar with the kids play area and the people mover at the Pittsburgh airport. In all, we had a great time and were sorry it was such a quick trip.
