I hope this background makes you think of a swimming pool because the girls have spent a lot of time in the water this month! Between neighborhood parks and our own backyard wading pool, they like to be anyplace where they can get wet. And despite Mom's valiant efforts at sunscreen, they have the tan lines to show for it!
June has also been a wet weather month. Lots of rain, which the little puddle jumpers love! Bethany did swimming lessons again this year at the city pool. She's doing well at getting her hold head underwater, but still working on moving her arms and legs to get around in the water. The girls are having a blast with our backyard pool (my garage sale find of the year!). I had nothing to do with the buckets on their heads...somebody decided they needed "safety helmets".
Speaking of helmets...Bethany has become a bike-riding fool! She's been doing a lot of riding on our cul-de-sac, and we've been riding/walking in the neighborhood quite a bit. When I take the girls for a walk now, Bethany rides her bike and I walk/jog along with Caroline in the stroller. Every week, Bethany rides faster. I told Schuyler she's trying to whip her mama into shape. The evenings have been really nice this month, so we usually head outside after dinner. Ahhh, summer....
