Birthdays and Easter
Caroline's birthday lasted a week...it seemed like she opened a present every day, which was probably best for her. She wanted to try on her new Pooh jammies right away. She loved getting Veggietales cards, a Miss Pattycake movie, a new "animals" movie and a new Leappad book.
Since I didn't get to make the cake for her party (and my party, too!), I did make her a "Bob" cake for her real birthday. She loved it. She also likes to tell you "I two" when you ask her how old she is. She tries to show 2 fingers, but those motor skills just aren't quite in place yet. Daddy got Mommy a cake for her real birthday, too!
"What will they think of next?" I spied a racecar egg decorating kit in the store and knew Bethany would have more fun with that one than the traditional Easter kit. Caroline had fun playing with the egg cars, too. The girls were all decked out for Easter Sunday. Aren't their little sheep cute? Who says Easter is all about chicks and rabbits, anyway?
Bethany wasn't feeling very well on Easter, so we let them both get a nap Sunday afternoon before the indoor egg hunt (it was COLD outside!). Caroline figured out too quick that the eggs contained candy and she wanted to eat the candy as she found an egg. Somehow we managed to keep her hunting eggs by eating a little candy along the way.
There are those silly ballet outfits again!
