Happy Spring!  We made a quick trip to Austin at the beginning of the month to visit my grandfather in the hospital.  The girls thought the care package of goodies was pretty nifty.  Yes, they both can eat whole apples!

We attended the annual Raytheon Egg Hunt again this year.  Our fourth year brought the best weather - a picture perfect day.  Caroline practiced hunting eggs before we went...but she soon discovered that the eggs in the real hunt had candy in them!  She wanted to stop and eat the candy as soon as she found an egg.  Bethany knows the "game" well by now and she held her own with the other 3 and 4 year olds gathering eggs quickly.  The Raytheon Egg Hunt wouldn't be complete without a picture with the Easter Bunny.  This year, the event organizers let everyone in on a little secret....a huge bluebonnet field, hidden from the main road, but on Raytheon property.  We stomped through them to get our own pictures and escaped without any bee stings!

The sashay through the bluebonnets was the delay Schuyler needed for his surprise plans to come to fruition at home.  I was planning an Aggie get-together that evening to celebrate Caroline's birthday.  Surprise!  We arrived home at 11:00 and everyone was already there to celebrate MY 30th birthday in a few weeks. I was shocked! In fact, I was the first one to open the door into the house.  The second I saw the "big 3-0" decorations, I promptly closed the door and walked back out into the garage to process what was happening...and to give my husband a huge grin.  We had a blast with all our friends... and all their kids!  Caroline thought the Nemo cake was pretty cool, too.

Ahhh, yes...the balloon picture.  An early lesson in static electricity!  Now, look at that big girl who likes to go high on the swing.  No more baby swings for her.  Don't ask about the ballet outfits...those girls just like to be silly.
