Happy 4th Birthday, Bethany!!!!!!

Bethany's party was on Saturday, January 24th.  A handful of her friends, including two little sisters, was a nice size for a celebration in our home. Papaw and Grandma were also in town to help out.

The kids started out playing with toys, but then gathered at table to make necklaces out of Fruit Loops. Caroline and Mia (Tanner's lil' sis) were more interested in eating the Loops.  Then we moved to the living room to find bags of clothes, shoes and accessories for silly dress-up. Bethany and Tatijana were all over it. Tanner wasn't so sure about the dress-up...he was more interest in the Hummer!

Lunchtime included some of Bethany's favorite finger foods: Cheetos and cheese cubes, and a few other things.  Afterwards, the girls wanted to do more dress-up, but I managed to corral them all for "Stick-the-Ribbon-on-Hello-Kitty".  Schuyler had to hold Bethany back during the game...she was VERY disturbed that the ribbons were not going in the right place.  I think she missed the point. Maybe we don't do that game next year.  Time for presents, but the birthday girl didn't like all the pairs of eyes set on her.  She told me to open them! Caroline was more than happy to oblige, and her "green" sister soon decided she could open her own presents, despite all the attention.

Time for cake..."just don't sing Happy Birthday to me!"  We started to sing, but when Bethany started to whine about it, we stopped. What a silly girl!  At least the Hello Kitty cake turned out good...and tasted even better! The scavenger hunt was such a success on Bethany's real birthday, we did it again for the kids to find their goodie bags. Tanner was all about finding the clues, and the girls were fast on his heels.

Papaw and Bethany helped with the decorations.  Papaw hung streamers, and Bethany colored Hello Kitty pictures that I cut out and mounted on cardboard.  Oh, Daddy helped too...he figured out how to make the cardboard stand up!

Chalk up another party success...now just 2 more months until the next one for Peanut!
