The first 3 pictures were taken a month ago when we were figuring out costumes. Bethany had her heart set on being "Pooh" this year, and the Pooh-suit was just too cute to pass up. The Bumble Bee was in the costume box from a few years ago. Caroline was not impressed...her Piglet suit from last year sure did look cute, but it was too small and it bothered her to wear it. So we thought we'd go with the Bee and use candy to bribe her to wear it.
A couple days before Halloween, Daddy carved his first pumpkin...and it was a good one! Bethany liked the icky, sticky, ooey, gooey insides...but didn't want to touch it. She left that job to Mommy.
Her school had a costume parade on Monday. All the kids rode tricycles and bicycles in the gym. Caroline could even participate. I uncovered the cheerleader outfit in a box of hand-me-downs...she was much more willing to wear that than the Buzzy Bee!
On Halloween night, the girls did some trick-or-treating in the neighborhood. But good ol' Texas weather - you never know if it's going to be hot or cold in Oct. This year was hot and humid! Poor Bethany roasted in the Pooh suit and didn't last long. We also made a quick trip to the Fall Festival at the church where she attends pre-school. Yas, I had to loosen the straps a couple notches to the belt around Pooh's big tummy!
