What an eventful month...and it's not quite over! Grammy and Poppop spent Labor Day weekend with us. They took Bethany on the her first light rail train ride to the aquarium downtown. Caroline usually wakes up from her afternoon nap before Bethany, and enjoys waking up her sister. In this picture, Bethany is sacked out, despite Caroline climbing on her. Bethany's first day of school was Sept. 2. We were all ready for school to start again! Bethany loves to be just like her daddy (wearing the helmet was her idea, in case she fell down). Caroline has started learning how to use crayons...and a spoon and fork. Bethany doesn't like to share many of her toys, but sometimes she's willing to share her yogurt. One Friday evening we went to Tanner's house to play so the daddies could go play basketball. All four kids are getting so big. Check out the last picture of the 4 kids...yes, you too can have stadium seating right in your very own living room!
Bethany attended a birthday party for her friends Bekah and Rachel, twins in her SS class at church. The party was at the gymnastics place where the twins attend class. Caroline came, too, but was annoyed that she couldn't play on the equipment too. Bethany helped Mommy make cookies for Daddy's first day of school...grad school for Schuyler started this month.
The Plano Balloon Festival was this past weekend. Since Daddy was in class, Oma drove up to help take the girls. We had a great time. We had to talk Bethany into her first pony ride. Once she got on, she was fine. We watched about 20 balloons launch in the evening in picture perfect weather. Then we enjoyed a picnic supper listening to a concert and watching the girls run around in the grass. Shortly thereafter, the sun set and the balloons lit up for the nighttime glow. Wow!
Caroline has started to sit at the booster seat for some meals, usually at lunch when Bethany is at school. She is almost more proficient at using a fork than Bethany! (Bethany can do very well if she WANTS to!). Bethany and Clifford don the ballet outfits from Oma. Bethany gets a gardening lesson from the family "green-thmb" - Oma, definitely not Mommy.
